Special tour focused on the children's stories of the First Aliyah
The first wave of immigration to the Land of Israel (the First Aliyah of 1882) consisted of entire families, with both parents and children making the journey together. While the whole family faced challenges adjusting to their new home, this tour will focus on the children's perspective as they encountered the Land of Israel for the first time. We will share stories about the children of the First Aliyah, including the objects they brought from their original country, the games they played after arriving, the languages they spoke as they began learning Hebrew, the customs, holidays and the everyday life in their new home. These stories offer a unique and fresh perspective on the First Aliyah, providing an authentic portrayal of the events that unfolded. During the tour, children will have the opportunity to interact and play with authentic items from the First Aliyah period.

Young researchers embark on a journey to discover the story of the immigrants through various tasks, challenges, and games. The experiential and friendly booklet allows participants to engage in an educational game about the characters, events, and layout of the museum and its surroundings. Each participant receives a booklet, and those who successfully complete the tasks are awarded a special medal at the end.

The Story of the First Aliyah
Introductory tour providing overview of the subject
This interactive tour recounts the story of the first immigration, accompanied by a dialogue that connects the past and the present. Moving between the exhibits and watching videos about the First Aliya helps foster a close and constructive dialogue, allowing personal stories to emerge. The tour highlights individuals and events that may not have made it into history books, and are known only through family stories. This dialogue encourages children to engage with the subject and reconsider their own personal narratives. This format of sharing thoughts and memories emphasizes the potential for communication among people of different ages, origins, and backgrounds. Within the dialogic space of our museum, everyone's voice will be heard.

“And the women of Israel shall ascent to the Promised Land”
Join us on a tour highlighting the stories of the women of the First Aliyah. This tour seeks to delve into the lives and experiences of the women who were part of the First Aliyah story, exploring their roles, values, and the ways in which they shaped their positions in the Zionist movement. A special section is dedicated to the women who arrived in Zamarin, known today as "Zikhron Ya'akov". Our tour aims to shed light on the often-overlooked female presence in history and to examine the significant contributions of women to the establishment of the new society in the Land of Israel, which continue to impact our lives today.

New Hebrew Farmer
A tour focused on the early days of the Hebrew agriculture, with an emphasis on Zichron Ya'akov
This tour consists of two parts:
During the first part of the tour, inside the museum, we will discuss the significance of agriculture in Zionist ideology from its early days. We will also delve into the process of creating the image of the new Jew – a productive member of a healthy society.
The second part of the tour, taking place in the garden next to the museum, will focus on the concept of the "Hebrew garden" that was part of the planning of the initial agricultural settlements. Specifically, we will explore the "Tiyul Garden" of Zichron Ya'akov, which was designed as a leisure space for the workers of the Zichron as well as an integral part of a comprehensive landscape system.

Small World
Animation Workshop for Little Ones
Join Merav Heiman, an interdisciplinary artist with extensive experience in art education, for a creative workshop. Participants will explore the stop-motion technique, a form of animation that creates the illusion of movement through a sequence of images. The workshop draws inspiration from the first animated film produced using this technique, 'Humpty Dumpty's Circus Show,' which was screened in 1898. In our session, we will use historical photographs from the museum's various spaces to create a short animated film. Participants will have the opportunity to develop ideas, create characters and environments, and gain hands-on experience with photography, editing, and sound design.

Historical Dress Workshop
Immerse yourself in the fashion world of First Aliyah men and women at our historical dress workshop. We will be exploring their clothing style, tracing its transition from Eastern European fashion to a Western European style. This style was particularly influenced by Parisian fashion introduced by Baron Rothschild's officials. We'll also examine the clothing styles of the Yemenite immigrants who arrived at the same time as those from Eastern Europe, as well as the traditional local clothing that was common before their arrival.
The workshop will be held in a special space within the museum dedicated to historical dresses. Participants will also receive tips on the customary way of taking pictures during the First Aliyah period. Finally, we'll take a group photo against the backdrop of historical landscape photographs displayed on the walls of this space.
